Jacob Zuma Resigns as South Africa’s President

South African President Jacob Zuma has resigned voluntarily as the President of the Republic of South Africa. Jacob Zuma addressed the nation at the Union Buildings in Pretoria yesterday evening and stated that he was stepping down with immediate effect.

He also stated that even though he didnt agree with the decision taken by the ANC leadership he still remained a dedicated and disciplined member of the organisation.

Deputy President and ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to take over the position officially soon.
