Samsung has released photos and features of its latest Galaxy S9 and S9+ models which are expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 25. The Galaxy S9 will look to take on Apple’s iPhone X, and based on Samsung Galaxy S8’s success this one seems not to be an exception. The S9 model will keep to the trending all-screen edge to edge display and will include a dual camera and improved processor.
According to the specs releases the phone will have an 5,8-inch display, and a 6,2-inch display for the S9+ model. Both models will feature a 1440 x 2960 pixel resolution and a 12mp camera.
The S9 will feature a Super AMOLED touchscreen, Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, Octa-core processor and 4GB memory (6GB for the S9+). The secondary camera will be 8mp and has a dual video call function, Auto HDR, 1440p video just to mention a few.
From all indications the Samsung Galaxy S9 seems to be an upgrade on the S8 than a new redesign, and will have internal storage capacity of 64GB on the S9 model and 128GB on the larger S9+ model.
